Although the big difference is that it is not a closed secret beach, it actually has a wide opening through which, thanks to the movie, many tourist boats come in. The beach just like most beaches in the Krabi province is a true beauty.

The soft white sand on the beach was unlike anything I had seen. But mass tourism has caused too much damage to this environment and so the pristine Maya Bay has been shutdown indefinitely. Enjoy the pictures for now I guess

Ko Phi Phi Don

There is the bigger island of Ko Phi Phi Don which has many restaurants and places to stay. It has some of the iconic Thai boats there.
