Malaysia wasn't really on my radar, but traveling across southeast Asia I heard stories of amazing food there. So I set out to explore these delicious rumors..

This is a menu from a small restaurant. If you look carefully, it covers Chinese, Indian, Malay, Thai, Singaporean, Indonesian and of course some burgers and fries! All these different cultures living together for centuries since the ancient trade routes have made their cuisines common place around Kuala Lumpur. Even small restaurants serve all of them.

Nyonya cuisine is what happened when Chinese migrants settled in Malaysia and Singapore. Mixing Chinese, Malay, Singaporean, Indonesian cuisines added with some Indian and Thai influences.
