Templo Dios del Viento (God of Winds Temple)
You can find the Temple of the God of Winds in the Tulum Mayan ruins. It stands out from the rest of the building and is right on the edge of the cliff.
Pyramid El Castillo
The biggest building there is the El Castillo. It is located strategically near the Caribbean ocean and is believed to have been a used as a trading hub for canoes coming in.
Tulum Beach
Right below the ruins is one of the most beautiful beaches you have ever been to.
Tulum Beach
And there's this crafty stairs leading down to this paradise beach. Stairway to heaven if you will
Tulum Beach
The beach is everything you hoped for and much more. White sand, crystal clear waters and some nice sunshine!
Random food vendor
Don't forget to checkout some delicious Mexican street food. As a rule, the crappier the place looks the better the food will be. Just see where the locals eat.
Tulum Beach
There is also protected sea turtle nesting areas on the Beach. Unfortunately none of the little sea turtles had hatched while we were there. You can see plenty of sea turtles, sting rays and colorful fishes when you go snorkeling in the clear waters.
Tulum Beach
I also met this Mexican gangster iguana who was sizing me up for a fight.
Tulum Beach
Iguanas are great at camouflaging between the rocks. But this guy was happy to hangout and bask in the warm sunshine
